1The service
Al-Andalus is a platform for translating Islamic content. It combines AI drafting with a workflow of human stages — translation, linguistic review, proofreading, Sharīʿah review and quality assurance — together with transcription, subtitling and dubbing for audio and video. Some features depend on your plan.
We may improve or change features over time. If we remove something important to a paid plan, we will tell you in advance.
2Accounts
You must be at least 18 to create an account. Keep your sign-in details private and tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Organisation administrators control who belongs to their organisation and what they can see. Members of a project can see that project’s content.
3Your content
You keep all rights in the content you upload and in the translations produced for you. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to provide the platform to you and your organisation, including sending it to the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy.
You confirm that you have the right to upload the content and to have it translated, and that doing so does not break anyone else’s rights or any law.
We do not use your content to train AI models.
4Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload content that is unlawful, infringes someone else’s rights, or promotes hatred or violence;
- try to access other organisations’ data, get around limits or security, or disrupt the platform;
- resell or share access to the platform outside your organisation without our agreement;
- use the platform to build a competing service or to extract our data in bulk.
We may suspend access that breaks these rules, and will explain why unless the law prevents us.
5AI output and review
AI drafts can contain mistakes. That is why the platform routes work through human review stages, and why Qurʾān verses it recognises are served word-for-word from published translations rather than generated. You and your organisation remain responsible for checking a translation before you publish it, and for decisions about which reviewers work on your projects.
6Plans and billing
- Prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT, which is added where it applies. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and you keep your plan until then.
- AI credit you buy does not expire. It is used as AI work is carried out, at the rates shown in the platform.
- Payments are non-refundable, except where the law gives you a right to a refund or we agree otherwise in writing.
- If a subscription payment fails, we will let you know and give you 14 days to fix it. After that, new AI work is paused until payment is made; your projects, editing and downloads keep working.
- Free plans come with the limits shown on the Plans page, which we may change with notice.
7Our platform
The platform, its software and design, and the Al-Andalus name belong to us or our licensors. These terms give you the right to use the platform, not to copy or own it.
We aim to keep the platform available and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Please keep your own copies of important files.
8Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue or data. Our total liability to you in any twelve months is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
9Ending the agreement
You can stop using the platform at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@alandalusgroup.co.uk. We may end or suspend your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. When an account ends, you can ask us for your content first; we then delete it as described in our Privacy Policy.
10Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell account holders in advance by email or in the platform. Continuing to use the platform after a change takes effect means you accept it.
11Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you keep any rights the law of your country gives you.
